The UAE is made up of seven emirates: Abu Dhabi (capital), Dubai, Sharjah, Ajman, Umm Al Quwain, Ras Al Khaimah, and Fujairah.
Each emirate has its own unique culture and economy.
Abu Dhabi is known for oil reserves and culture; Dubai for tourism and business; Sharjah for art and heritage; Ajman for beaches and heritage sites; Umm Al Quwain for fishing villages; Ras Al Khaimah for natural beauty; and Fujairah for beaches and history.
The federal government is based in Abu Dhabi and handles national-level services.
